Tanglin Halt Cascadia

Progress has been slower this month, largely due to ongoing works on the sky terraces for Blocks 74A and 75A, which are more complex than typical floor construction.

Block 74A: 16-17 of 47 Floors 

With the first sky terrace now completed, Block 74A continues to advance steadily at roughly two weeks per floor. Works are currently underway at the 17th floor for stacks 501 to 507, while stacks 509 to 515 are progressing at the 16th floor.

Block 75A: 15-16 of 47 Floors

Construction for Stacks 543 to 549 has progressed to the 16th floor, while the remaining stacks are still completing the sky terrace level at the 15th floor. The sky terrace involves substantially more cast‑in‑situ (on-site) works and specialized formwork which naturally lengthen the construction time compared to a typical floor.


If you look closely, you can already start to visualize the sky terrace taking shape. The curved rebar layout hints at the final design, separating the walking corridor from the planter zones at the edge.

Block 74B: 25 of 25 Floors

Minimal changes observed for this floor compared to last month. No concerns on timeline since we’re already at the final level!


Block 75B: 23-25 of 25 Floors

Block 75B is nearing completion, with stacks 563/565 currently at the 25th floor and stacks 559/561 progressing at the 23rd floor.

Others

Some progress has been made on the casting works for both the lift shaft and stairwell located at the carpark roof garden. A waterproofing layer (in black) has also been observed to be installed on the roof garden.

Progress is moving steadily, supporting expectations for key collection by end‑2028. Current construction momentum suggests that the project remains on track.

Block 17A: 18 of 48 Floors

Courtyard continues to show steady progress, with the residential block now reaching the 18th floor. With only six stacks per floor, construction speed should outpace Cascadia as the structure climbs higher.

Structural works for the 2‑storey market and hawker centre are largely complete, with construction now progressing to the roof level. In contrast, activity at the adjoining carpark and polyclinic is moving at a more measured pace, with both structures currently at the first floor.

If this pace is maintained, the overall completion / TOP timeline may be similar to Cascadia, which is great news for residents in both projects!


Other Updates

During my visit to the estate today, I noted that soil investigation works are still ongoing at Site 3, located beside New Town Primary School. These works have been observed since earlier this year, indicating continued preparatory activity at the plot.

As mentioned in earlier updates, I remain highly confident that this site will form the next project launch within the estate, with an expected release sometime next year.

Tanglin Halt's Redevelopment Journey - What's Next?
